DEEP FEATURES Brainstorms to identify main ideas to be used in writing. Uses most of the main ideas in the writing. Uses paragraphs and sequences ideas. Attempts to end writing with a simple conclusions.

SURFACE FEATURES Spells most words correctly. Uses capital letters, full stops, commas, apostrophes, question marks, exclamation marks.

THE REWORKER / EDITOR Rereads writing to edit out information that does not improve the message. Rereads writing to edit in words and phrases that improve the message. Uses a dictionary to identify and check spelling attempts. Checks writing for basic punctuation.

“Hi I’m going to tell you about my holiday life. It is really boring.”

My mum makes me go to a holiday programme where a lot of kids bully me for example Ryan!!! He is a really mean guy, he fights me for no reason and Oliver he said that he was the best in the soccer team and he said that the coach cried when he wasn’t out there, but he hardly scored any goals.

Inflatable World, the best place that I have ever been to, even better than Splash Planet. I spent like an hour and a half on the battle zone and that is my fav. I raced Oliver at the obstacle course and I came last. The hardest part on the obstacle course is the climbing frame and I didn’t really go on any of the other activities.

In the weekends I always went to dads but he doesn't have any internet, so we were pretty much always on the Playstation 3. We do go for a lot of walks and Candice came over last week with her baby. I found out that she is a momma's girl, so when Candice went she started to cry.

BEST holidays ever except that I got BULLIED BY RYAN AND OLIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that actually made it THE WORST HOLIDAYS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
